The Canadian Bazaar BRAMPTON: Brampton Indo-Canadian woman Amarjeet Kaur Saini, 41, has been arrested and charged with defrauding people to the tune of $35,465 in an airline ticket scam. Investigators from the Fraud Bureau arrested her on Thursday for the scam which took place between between 2018 and 2019. Pretending to be an Air Canada employee, Amarjeet Kaur Saini offered cheap airline tickets for sale on Kijiji and communicated with her victims via WhatsApp, without ever meeting with them in person, Peel Police said in a press release. Victims purchased airline tickets from her and made payments to her for the tickets. However, upon arriving at the airport on the day of their flights, the victims discovered that their tickets had been cancelled. Police say she defrauded her victims to the tune of $35,465 and there could be more victims of her scam. Police has asked anyone defrauded by her to call its investigators at 905-453–2121, ext. 3335. Saini will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on December 21. READ ALSO: Tanveer Sidhu murder suspects arrested
