Ontario reports just 255 COVID cases

TORONTO: Ontario reported just 255 new cases of COVID on Wednesday.

In the new cases reported in the last 24 hours,53 came from Waterloo, 57 came from Toronto, 25 from Peel, 23 from the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit region and 14 from Ottawa.

The number of deaths from COVID in Ontario stands at 9,082 till date.

Ontario has so far administered 13,096,628 doses of vaccine, with 3,343,744 Ontarians fully vaccinated. Across Canada, 26,155 people have died from COVID till Wednesday morning. The country has recorded 1.41 million cases of COVID till today. Quebec has recorded the highest COVID deaths – 11,195 – till date, with Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Northwest Territories recording no death so far.
The COVID death toll in Alberta is 2,290, in British Columbia 1,743, in Manitoba 1,129 and in Saskatchewan 565.
