The Canadian Bazaar TORONTO: The Toronto Vaisakhi parade on Sunday saw a record crowd turning up to enjoy the festivities in Nathan Phillips Square on a sunny Sunday. Though Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, opposition PC Party leader Doug Ford and Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath showed up to deliver their speeches, only Jagmeet Singh from any federal politicians joined the celebrations. Instead, Innovation minister Navdeep Bains read Trudeau's message to the gathering. Federal Conservative leader Andrew Scheer also didn't attend. His message was read by MP Bob Saroya. Toronto Mayor John Tory was the first speaker at the Vaisakhi parade.
