Brampton man Andre Lawrence arrested for washroom voyeurism

Andre Lawrence placed a cellphone under the partition of the victim’s stall in the washroom for the purpose of photographing her

The Canadian bazaar BRAMPTON: A 30-year-old man has been arrested for sexual offences against women, including voyeurism. In the first incident that occurred on July 25,Peel Police say that between 3.50 pm and 5.17 pm, the suspect entered and exited the female washrooms several times at the department store located in the area of Resolution Drive and Steeles Avenue East in the City of Brampton. During this time, the suspect concealed himself in one of the bathroom stalls, and waited until a 28-year-old woman occupied the stall next to his. He then placed a cellphone under the partition of the victim’s stall for the purpose of photographing her. The man fled the scene after he had been discovered. Two days later at 10.51 pm, the suspect was inside a drugstore located in the area of Kennedy Road South and Queen Street East in Brampton. A 25-year-old woman was in one of the aisles when the suspect placed his cellphone under her skirt and while taking a photo, assaulted her. In the third incident on August 18, the suspect attended a shopping mall located in the area of Kennedy Road South and Clarence Street in Brampton in a white Volkswagon. At 10.57 am, he entered and exited the female washrooms at the mall on multiple occasions. Police were contacted by a concerned citizen. Upon police arrival, they located two women in the washroom area and the suspect had concealed himself inside one of the bathroom stalls. He was arrested and identified as Andre Lawrence, a 30-year-old man from Brampton. he has been charged with sexual assault, two counts of voyeurism, mischief – two counts of Prevent Lawful Enjoyment and breach of probation. Police suspect there may be more persons targeted by Andre Lawrence.
