Brampton sexual assault accused school principal Sanjiv Kumar arrested

Peel Regional Police say a 16-year-old girl student was the alleged victim of the Brampton sexual assault

BRAMPTON: A Brampton school principal has been arrested for alleged sexual assault on a teenage girl student in his student. Investigators from the Special Victims Unit of Peel Police took 54-year-old Sanjiv Kumar (a.k.a Sanjiv Dhawan), 54, the principal of a private school in Brampton, into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female student of his own school. He has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation. Kumar will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on August 24, 2020. Peel Regional Police say there may be more victims of Kumar's sexual exploitation and have asked them to contact the Special Victims Unit.
