Gerrard India Bazaar festival draws record crowds

News East West TORONTO: There was a record rush at Gerrard India Bazaar on July 22-23 when over 250,000 thronged this oldest Indian marketplace in North America on its annual South Asian Festival to take in south Asian cuisine, music, dance, Bollywood, fun and much more. Even the side alleys were put to use this year to stage various events. The major attraction of the two-day festival was a mango lassi beer bar.
