Just For Laughs founder has been accused by 10 women of sexual harassment and assault

The Canadian Bazaar TORONTO: Looks like the Harvey Weinstein scandal in the US has opened a Pandora’s box in Canada where multiple women have come forward with allegations of sexual assault against entertainment industry baron and Just For Laughs founder Gilbert Rozon. Rozon, who founded Just For Laughs in 1983 and served as its president till last week when he stepped down after first allegations against him surfaced, has been accused by 10 women so far of sexual harassment and assault. Among the victims, TV star and producer Julie Snyder filed complaint with police in Montreal on Sunday against Rozon in connection with a sexual assault which allegedly happened many years ago. TV star Penelope McQuade, 46, and actress Patricia Tulasne, 58, followed suit to file complaints against Rozon. McQuade was allegedly attacked by Rozon in 1997 while covering the Just for Laughs comedy festival, say reports.
