Pakistani women are breaking shackles, says Mrs Pakistan Noor Sheheryar

TORONTO: Young modern Pakistani women are breaking all the stereotypes as Noor Sheheryar, a sizzling Toronto housewife, recently won the Mrs. Pakistan World 2015 organized by Miss Pakistan founder Sonia Ahmed. Looking almost like a modern-age Heer,  the new Mrs Pakistan speaks out her mind on various issues: Q: Why did contest for this title? What motivated you? Was you husband OK with your decision? A:  it’s an opportunity to represent my country internationally. I was motivated because of the fact that there is a platform for the married women to represent themselves. My husband plays very important role in my life as all of my outfits for the photoshoot and events are designed by my husband.

Q: What does this title mean to you? What will you do with it?

A: it means a lot to me as I am the representation to Pakistan.I will proudly show the world how patriotic I am with my charity work . With this title I can fulfill my dreams. A: I already started working with charity and I, with my team, will focus on saving the childhood of the underprivileged kids by providing them food , toys, education, better environment where they can do naughty things without any worries. Q: How about the plight of women in our patriarchal society, more so in your native Pakistan? A: Women are facing difficulties in the whole world in different aspects. Women in Pakistan are getting more and more stronger in making the decisions for themselves we have great examples like Asma Jahangir , Benazir Bhutto, Malala and thousands more. Q: Do you think Pakistan has the right kind of leaders to deliver?  A: I am sorry I am not political at all to throw my point of view on our great leader. I truly believe that every leader brings good and positive change and one thing is awesome in every leader that They are real patriots and not going to think twice before giving their lives for Pakistan Q: Where are you from in Pakistan? When did you come to Canada? A: I’m from a city called Wah Cantt close to Panja Sahib. I came three years before.
