By Renu Mehta TORONTO: Here comes a new dating platform to find the love of your life. Caroline Dalal, the Indo-Canadian woman who comes from a broadcasting background, is instrumental in creating the matrimonial/dating app for Android phone. Called AfterYou, it is the world's first free matrimonial app on Google Play Store. With its launch, Dalal has become one of the very few women to join a very male-dominated world of technology. “We are tremendously ecstatic to launch this phenomenal product called AfterYou on the Google Play Store,” says Dalal. “I definitely believe that AfterYou will be an exponential success globally. AfterYou is beautifully designed for anyone to use and has finally arrived on Android” This matrimonial app has a matchmaker component where prospects can invite family and friends to help them find the love of their lives. As Dalal explains, ``What is different is there is an inner circle where one can invite family and friends to help collaborate and help find the perfect match for you. When family and friends are connected, they can actually search and recommend prospects for you. In this way, one does not feel lonely. “ While matrimonial is a very South Asian concept, Dalal believes that for women all over the world, marriage is the final destination. “No matter where you come from, as women we want to walk down that aisle and spend the rest of their lives with the man who will make empower us for the rest of our lives. And so we want AfterYou to give the women the option to find that kind of love.” Dalal also felt that with the onslaught of social media one can go beyond the boundaries of immediate geographical locations to find a soulmate, and searching the globe will only help increase chances of finding perfect love. “Research has proven that if you only search within the parameters of where you live, you are limiting yourself to a sub-par relationship. Searching outside your boundaries can be a scary thought. However with the matchmaker/inner circles component, our app can be a safe place for women to find marriage. “ A journalist turned entrepreneur, Dalal has lived in several countries including Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Lesotho, Sri Lanka and Canada. It was her travels and exposure to multiple political and social structures that inspired Dalal to become a TV reporter in Canada where she worked at OMNI and later at CTV News, one of North America's largest newsrooms in Toronto. Over the years, she interviewed world known politicians and personalities including Nelson Mandela, Henry Kissinger, Donald Trump, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Bill Gates and Sophia Loren among others. Her breaking stories broke many a record and her immigration stories were life changing for hundreds of asylum seekers who were shortlisted for deportation. Inspired by the onslaught of technology, Dalal decided to combine her passion for journalism with digital marketing. This tremendous success has earned the entrepreneur three prestigious digital marketing awards from the Building Industry Land and Development Association in Canada, making her one of the most sought after digital experts in Canada. ``What we did with our design and functionality and also from a psychological perspective was to study what was needed and give that to prospects without any obstacles. There are no payments and AfterYou is absolutely free,'' signs off Dalal. READ NEXT: Mohammed Anwar: A Canadian refugee's journey of dreams and success
