News East West MUMBAI (Dec 12, 2013): Subroto Roy’s Sahara group has reportedly taken over properties of Boney Kapoor. Boney Kapoor, husband of Sridevi, had taken a loan from Sahara Motion Pictures while making the film No Entry. The loan was issued against Boney Kapoor’s property. But over the years the loan amount has risen to Rs 85 crore because of non-payment, according to koimoi.com. Now Sahara itself is in trouble as it has to pay its SEBI loan. But with Boney Kapoor not being able to pay off his debt, Sahara plans to mortgage his properties against their loan to the government. Subroto Roy himself told this to Boney Kapoor who was till January the CEO of Sahara Motion Pictures. This spells a big financial crisis for the Kapoor family.
